Training Workshops

Biodiversity

Our workshops, designed to awaken participants' curiosity, while highlighting the importance of nature in education, are offered in a 2-hour model. Most of them have an outdoor component to put the new concepts into practice.

Our training courses are aimed at school and day camp staff, site and park managers and any other organizational employee or citizen wishing to learn more about the biodiversity that surrounds us, its importance and/or its potential.

AVAILABLE WORKSHOPS

Workshops for school and day camp staff :

  • Simple Scientific Tools for Outdoor Learning: learn how to use various scientific tools to explore green spaces and set up immersive projects. On the menu: compasses, binoculars, vivariums and other objects to help kids explore the natural world around them.
  • Facilitating Outdoors (Biodiversity for Learning): from ecosystems to biodiversity, through notions of educational value and ecological impact, a wealth of information will be conveyed in a dynamic and interactive way. Observe, manipulate, design and learn from nature. This workshop is adaptable to different environments (green alleys, urban parks, wooded areas or conservation parks) and offers accessible activities to carry out with kids.

Workshops for site or park managers and employees, as wells as citizens :

  • Coexisting with wildlife: talk to our urban biodiversity expert about the ecology of the most common wildlife found in the city, and how to safely share space with it. (It's possible to adapt the training to address a species, such as the coyote, wild turkey, raccoon, etc., that is more relevant to your region.)
  • Communicating with the public : Does your scientific work require you to interact with the public? Do you want to be able to explain your knowledge in a simple and effective way, or even tackle sensitive subjects? In this training session, you'll discover the techniques and tips you need to achieve your goals!

Do you want a presentation on a specific or custom topic? Check out or conferences!
