Parcours Gouin
Rich in its unique historical heritage and known for its cycling and boating networks, 15 kilometers of riverbanks, 16 riverside parks and 3 nature parks, Parcours Gouin is your nature getaway on the north shore of Montreal Island!
HISTORY OF THE PROJECT
This project was designed to develop the rivière des Prairies (Back River) waterfront area. To this end, the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville joined forces with local residents and community and institutional partners to undertake a concerted effort to promote access to the riverbanks, while enhancing the parks and green spaces along this waterfront route.
THE WELCOME PAVILION
Located at 10905 rue Basile-Routhier, on the edge of the Viau Bridge facing Rivière des Prairies, the Parcours Gouin Welcome Pavilion is a stone's throw away from the Henri-Bourassa metro station. Designed as part of a truly integrated approach to sustainable development, the Welcome Pavilion is the first "net-zero" energy institutional building in Montreal.
