Introduction to Kayaking

This activity is intended for beginners. Please note that it will be held in French.

Learn how to handle a paddle alone or in a group and learn the basic techniques to be autonomous in a kayak.

INCLUDES

  • Kayak;
  • Personal flotation device (PFD) and water safety kit;
  • 1 hour with a guide, 1 hour of autonomous practice for a total of 2 hours.

  • Pierrefonds Water Sports Site : $ 25/person for seniors.

‍‍‍GENERAL TERMS

  • Ability to swim;
  • Signing the Risk Acknowledgement and Acceptance form;
  • Meeting the minimum age requirements :
  • Children need to be at least 12 years old to board a watercraft;
  • 12 to 17 year-olds can board a watercraft alone, but must be accompanied by an adult, themselves in a watercraft;
  • Respecting the maximum weight capacity of the watercraft;
  • No animals are allowed on board the watercrafts.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • It is recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your reservation;
  • For a safe and enjoyable experience, consider bringing a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, closed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
  • Please only bring items that can follow you on your watercraft. A waterproof bag may be useful. No lockers or changing rooms will be available on site.
